Score Guarantee
Effective 4 October 2026.
Do the work and we stand behind the result. Finish your PrepStar study plan every day for 90 days in a row, then take the official test within 60 days. If your score misses the goal below, you choose: a full refund, or three more months of PrepStar for free.
1. The goal
| Your starting score | The goal on your guarantee test |
|---|---|
| SAT 400 to 1190 | Your starting score plus 200 points |
| SAT 1200 to 1390 | 1400 or higher |
| ACT 1 to 24 | Your starting score plus 5 points |
| ACT 25 to 30 | 31 or higher |
A score is the total from one sitting: the SAT total out of 1600, or the ACT composite out of 36. Superscores, and section scores combined from different sittings, don't count. Your starting score and your guarantee test must be the same test. If you already have 1400 on the SAT or 31 on the ACT, the guarantee doesn't apply.
2. Your starting score
- Your starting score is your most recent official SAT or ACT score from a test taken before your 90 days begin, and no more than six months before.
- Only an official score counts. A PSAT, a PreACT or a practice test, including PrepStar's, does not.
- Email the official score report to support@prepstar.ai within the first 7 days of your 90 days, from the address on your PrepStar account.
3. Your 90 days
- The whole plan, every day. Finish everything your PrepStar study plan sets for the day, every day, for 90 days in a row. A day counts when your PrepStar calendar shows it completed, and a day off that your plan gives you counts too. Miss a day and the 90 start again.
- On a paid plan. Every one of the 90 days must be covered by a paid PrepStar plan, paid by you or by a parent. Days of a free trial, free time from an access code, and time a tutoring center pays for don't count.
- Your own work. The account is yours alone, and every answer in it is yours.
4. Your guarantee test
Your guarantee test is the first official SAT or ACT you take after your 90th day, and you must take it within 60 days of that day. Official tests aren't offered every month, so plan your 90 days to end shortly before a test date.
5. Claiming
- Within 30 days of your guarantee test's date, email support@prepstar.ai the official score reports for your starting test and your guarantee test. Write from the address on your PrepStar account, or from the address of the parent who pays. If the scores aren't out within those 30 days, you have 7 days from their release.
- We review every claim within 10 business days.
-
If your score missed the goal, you choose one:
- A full refund of every PrepStar plan payment that covers any day from the first of your 90 days to your test date, with the tax charged on it, paid back to whoever paid it within 10 business days; or
- A free extension: three more months of PrepStar, at no charge.
- PrepStar AI credit top-ups, official test fees and anything bought from someone else are not refunded.
6. How we check
We audit every claim against your PrepStar activity over the 90 days and against your score reports, and we may ask for more to confirm either. We may decline a claim if the record doesn't show real effort, such as answers entered faster than the questions can be read or work done by someone other than the student, or if the account was shared or a score report was altered. If we decline a claim, we will tell you why, and you can reply with anything you want us to consider.
7. The fine print
- The guarantee applies once per student.
- We may change or end this guarantee. A change applies to 90 days that start after we post it; yours keeps the terms in place on its first day.
- It is part of our Terms of Service and does not limit any right you have under the law.
- SAT is a trademark of the College Board. ACT is a trademark of ACT Education Corp. Neither organization sponsors, endorses or is affiliated with PrepStar or Moose ML Inc.
